Since I have a little downtime tonight, there is something I've been wanting to do. I'm going to do a very rough estimate of what it might look like if us parents actually got paid to stay home and BE PARENTS! You know, by doing all the things that we do ALL the time, but we don't get paid for it. BUT... If you do it anywhere else but your home, then it's a "job" and you get a paycheck. What the heck is that all about?!?!
Note: This is all just for fun! Obviously this will vary by state and specific job description, plus years of experience..

Waitress-$35,000
Maid- $40,000
Laundromat employee-$32,000
Uber driver-$20,000
Daycare provider-$40,000
And the final annual wage for a parent SHOULD be around $227,000... Give or take! Also if there was a nightshift deferential, that would be great too! 😏
